PICO Search: Precision in Research

PICO is a paper search engine that categorizes abstracts into Patients/Participants/Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome to find more relevant research articles.

How does it work?

Using a large language model, it automatically classifies abstracts into PICO categories. To create a graph of papers related to the origin paper and its PICO elements, about 20,000 papers were analyzed. Similarity is measured by the embedding vector distance between the PICO elements of each sample and those of the origin paper, with smaller distances indicating higher similarity.

How to use?

Search

To search, enter keywords to find papers that match the title, abstract, and PICO elements.

For more detailed searches, click on the 'Advanced' tab to search with specific keywords within the PICO categories.

Collection

You can save desired papers from the search results into collections. Click the icon to check the desired collection and save.

If no collection exists, click 'Create collection' to set the collection name, comment, and visibility to create a new collection.
